Corporate and sporting events

If you've been asked to help organise a sporting corporate event for your company's clients, then you'll want to get it right.
Here's what you need to remember.
1. You'll want to know which clients the event is for if you have a wide range of clients coming then you'll want to think of something that will appeal to all of them,
2. There might be a particular reason why your company is hosting this event. Are they looking for new, or more business, or just saying thank you to loyal clients?
3. You might have been given a specific date, and so will have to see what's available on that date, or you might be able to be more flexible.
4. You might also have been given instructions as to where the even must be held for logistical reasons.
5. You'll need to establish what sort of event will be most suitable. A day's golf might be a bit boring for those that don't play, and not everyone likes motor racing. A day at the reaces is usually a safe bet. Depending on the event you choose, you may have determined where and when the event will be. Perhaps you've managed to get tickets for a day at Wimbledon, or a Premier League football match.
6. It's essential that you remember that the event is not for you, or even for your company. It's for your guests. Just because you've always wanted to go to Wembley, or go to a Formula 1 race, doesn't mean your clients will.
7. You'll want to send out invitations as soon as you know the date, so that you know how many people are coming, and that your guests know what to wear.
8. It's important that you know whether all food and drinks will be included. You don't want your guests to have to pay for refreshments at any time during the day.
9. You'll want to make sure that your guests will feel at ease, and you won't them to feel out of place, or uncomfortable. Why not make sure that you're able to introduce them to each other, and encourage them to mingle?
10. When choosing a corporate sporting event, you'll want to be aware of the cost. You won't want your clients to think that you charge too much, but you also don't them to think that you're stingy either.
Now you know what to look for, you'll be able to choose the right corporate sporting event, and make it successful.
